[Encore] question about java

Was wondering if someone could help and was unsure of whether the old 
EnCore listserv was still functioning...

I've got a user who recently switched computers (home) because of a melt 
down and is now getting a Java error when logging on to the MOO:
"exception: java.lang.NullPointerException."

She says that Java Runtime Environment is up to date and loaded...when she 
logs on to the MOO the left hand side comes up blank and even though the 
coffee cup icon is churning, the error comes up...

She isn't using the newest explorer, and the error comes up on Firefox, as 
well...

Any ideas how we can get her up and running again?
