[Encore] MOOtcan compatibility in IE7?

I just installed IE7 over the weekend and have a problem getting our
MOO to load. We are running Encore Xpress 4.0.1 (BC-MOO at:
http://www.bridgewater.edu:7000/ ). I have installed the latest Java
runtime environment (version 5) 1.5.0 update 9.
I did not get an error message, but only the right pane loaded. The
two left panes never loaded completely. That is rather strange. I was
wondering whether it might be with the how in interprets JavaScript,
but my physics simulations site (ISAW at:
http://www.bridgewater.edu/departments/physics/ISAW/ ), where the
simulations use a lot of JavaScript, works just fine. In constructing
that site I have worked very hard to use only the most generic of
JavaScript code, so there still might be a JavaScript problem. But it
probably is a Java problem.
How does one send a note to Microsoft or Sun on this issue? I tried
getting help from the MS support site on Saturday and could not find
any for IE7!
